Description:  Looking for a new challenge on the wheel? Teapots are the pinnacle of pottery projects!  They involve controlled and technical throwing techniques; Create lids, spouts and handles all on the same piece! The first week, Neely will guide students through the process of throwing jars and creating different types of lids.  The next two weeks, students will focus on the the more advanced project of creating teapot parts and assembling them.  The last class will be reserved for glazing.  Participants will have the option to fire in cone 6 oxidation or cone 10 reduction.  We will also have a potluck kiln-opening party at the end of the session  - friends and family welcome!
